FAQs

What is USDFA?

The goal of USDFA is to provide affordable programming for qualifying youth and adult players for local and regional play and to eventually build a program that will lead to national level play that provides a platform for our male and female athletes to engage in national championship competitions.

In addition to local and regional programs, USDFA hopes to obtain the support and resources of the US Soccer Federation in developing a Dwarf World Cup competition.  International competitions have been held and are planned through a combination of national soccer federations, such as Argentina, and by multi-sport organizations leading to such events as the World Dwarf Games.

What is the format of USDFA soccer games?

In 2020, the United Soccer Coaches Disability Allies Advocacy Group posted a paper that we believe is an excellent resource in describing our games, including descriptions of various forms of dwarfism, with an explanation of the rule change accommodations made to the Laws of the Game to accommodate physical risks or limitations as a result of dwarfism.
