Parental Guide for USDFA

The United States Dwarf Futbol Association (USDFA) is dedicated to creating opportunities for children and adults with dwarfism to stay active and connected through soccer and futsal. Too often, players leave the sport as competition levels rise and the physical differences between athletes become more noticeable. USDFA exists to change that.

Our goal is to keep athletes with dwarfism in the game — by building environments where they can learn, compete, and grow on a level playing field. We aim to support parents and guardians in advocating for their athletes, encouraging them to help educate coaches about the unique developmental paths of players with dwarfism, and ensuring access to inclusive programs that foster confidence and community.

We also encourage parents to take an active role in local efforts — helping organize clinics, practices, and teams that bring dwarf athletes together. With your support, we can empower stature and elevate the game for every player.

Growth through Advocacy!

USDFA relies on its volunteers and regional coordinators to help us grow and continue to provide opportunities for kids with dwarfism. If you or an adult in your family want’s to get involved please contact us and we will share how you can start making an impact! A huge impact in a childs playing experience can be how well a parent advocates for their player on and off the court, we hope this material is useful when shared with a coach who may not have experience working with an athlete with dwarfism.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
