Youth Program

At the U.S. Dwarf Futbol Association (USDFA), our youth focus is not about early team selection or cutting players—it’s about keeping young people with dwarfism in the game of soccer for the long run.

Because our community is spread across the country, USDFA does not form full-time youth teams in the traditional sense. Instead, we support youth players by creating opportunities to play, connect, and develop, while helping families and coaches build environments where players can continue to grow locally.

Our goal is simple:
If a child wants to play soccer, they should have a place in the game—today and in the future.

What to Know

    • Help in maintaining physical activity and health

    • Building self-confidence and resilience

    • Developing friendships and community

    • Seeing role models who look like them continuing to play

  • In 2026 USDFA will host several clinics and camps around the US. Many in relation to LPA regional events as well as our own specific programs. By signing up, you’ll help us map out where athletes are located and what kind of programming is most needed. The more players who express interest, the more quickly we can launch regional events and team opportunities.

  • Even without permanent teams, there are many ways to stay connected:

    • Attend USDFA clinics, camps, and regional events

    • Join the USDFA player pool to receive updates and opportunities

    • Stay active in local leagues and school programs

    • Volunteer, mentor, or help grow awareness in your area

    • Stay connected as players age into 14+ and adult opportunities

  • Yes, while DAAA operates as the national athletic organization for those with dwarfism in the United States, USDFA is specific only to soccer/futsal.
